There’s plenty of ways to enjoy the capital of Denmark and explore the culture, but to really get your hands into it, you need to indulge yourself in the foodculture and tradition. Copenhagen is filled with amazing restaurants both for traditional-style open sandwich as well as modern new nordic cuisine.

Eating in a restaurant is amazing – but to really understand the food culture and get to know the ingredients and traditions you need to get your hands dirty. I love to attend cooking classes as a part of my vacations around the world, therefore I decided to offer the same service to turists here in Copenhagen. At that time no one offered english speaking cooking classes in Copenhagen, so it was basically impossible to attend a class. Over the years I’ve developed the concept into offering different private cooking classes here in Copenhagen as well as travelling around the world with the classes as well.
To me a cooking class is not working if you’re just standing and looking, like showcooking, therefore I’ve made all my cooking classes private, which means maximum 6 people pr. class and always hands-on.

My food is a mixture of modern nordic food and traditional danish classics, made with local ingredients, some foraged treats and simple techniques – it everyday food, that you can make and serve for friends and family, when you’ve finished the class. To me it’s all about understanding the flavors, combination and techniques – then you’ve got enough knowledge to start cooking scandinavian meals at home!
